Thick white-oak treads stack as clear rectangular volumes through an open well, while frameless glass and a continuous wood handrail keep the edge calm. Daylight from tall windows cuts across the flights; the oak holds the warmth against white plaster and dark window frames.
What you see in the finished room is only half the story. Earlier stills show a dark steel zigzag standing in the same void — the shop-built core that carries the switchback before the oak faces settle the character. The case is about that sequence: structure first, warm mass second, glass and wood at the edge last. Skip the steel chapter and the finished oak can be misread as a floating trick; keep both chapters and the stair stays honest.

Pre-drilled points wait along the tread edges for the glass line. This is the factory language made visible on site: geometry locked in metal, then clad and finished in wood.

Daylight through the well
